Guide prices and quotes
Prices on this website and from the guide-price tool are guides for planning only. Your price is the fixed price in your written quote, which states what's included, any access equipment, and any deposit. If we find hidden damage once work starts that changes the scope or price, we stop and agree any change with you in writing before continuing.
Diagnostic visits
Photo reviews are free. Diagnostic visits are charged at the price confirmed before the visit (from £145 ex VAT).
Your right to cancel
If you're a consumer and the contract is agreed away from our premises (for example at your home) or at a distance (by phone, email or online), you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. For a repair or other service, the 14 days run from the day after the contract is made. We give you this cancellation information, and a cancellation form, in writing with your quote.
Starting work within the 14 days. We won't start during the cancellation period unless you expressly ask us to, in writing (email is fine). If you do ask us to start and then cancel within the 14 days, you pay a proportionate amount for the work carried out up to the time you tell us you're cancelling. If you ask us to complete the work within the 14 days and we do, you lose the right to cancel once the work is fully done; we'll confirm that with you in writing before we start.
Made-to-measure items. Some jobs include goods made to your specification, such as replacement glass units or a new lantern. The right to cancel may not apply to those made-to-measure goods, and where a job combines them with fitting, the position can depend on the contract. We'll explain in writing before you agree which items are made to measure and how cancellation would apply to them, and we won't order made-to-measure items during the cancellation period unless you expressly ask us to.
How to cancel. Tell us clearly that you want to cancel — email sales@rooflanternrepairs.co.uk, call 0800 088 6248, or write to us at Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to. To meet the deadline, you only need to send your message before the 14 days end. We'll refund any payment for work not carried out within 14 days of you telling us, using the same payment method.
