Roof lantern repairs for hospitality businesses fix the leaking, overheating and misted lanterns above dining rooms, conservatory restaurants, bars and hotel atriums. We cover the whole UK, can work around your opening hours on request, and confirm a fixed price in writing before any work starts.
Can you work around our opening hours?
Yes, on request we plan work around service times, for example early mornings before opening, the gap between lunch and dinner, or a closed day. Any out-of-hours working is priced in the quote, so it is set out in your written quote. Tell us your quieter days and the areas you need to keep open, and we will put together a schedule that keeps disruption to guests and staff as low as practical.
Why does our dining room get so hot under the lantern?
Large glazed roofs over dining areas let in a lot of solar heat, especially if the glass is older or has no solar control coating, and guests seated directly underneath feel it most. Replacing units with solar control glass lowers heat gain without replacing the frame, and repairing a stuck opening vent helps let warm air escape on busy afternoons.
What causes drips over the bar and tables?
Cooking, glasswashers, busy rooms and hot drinks all add moisture to the air, and it condenses on the coldest surfaces, which are often the lantern glass and bars. Drips onto tables look like a leak but frequently are not. We check ventilation, vents, seals and glass to find out which it is, then recommend condensation fixes or a leak repair that suits how the room is used.
How do you keep guests safe during repairs?
Areas under the lantern are closed off and cordoned while we work, and glass is only handled when the space below is clear. Risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are provided before work starts, and any tower, MEWP or edge protection needed is priced in the quote. If a leak or cracked pane is putting guests at risk, we arrange an urgent make-safe as soon as we can.
Repairs that often apply

Questions people ask
Do you repair hotel atrium lanterns?
Yes. Larger atrium and orangery-style lanterns are priced on survey because access, glass sizes and working hours vary. The fixed price is confirmed in writing before any work starts.
Can we keep trading while you work?
Often yes, if the area under the lantern can be closed off. Where glass units are being changed over a dining room, we usually recommend doing that part outside opening hours.
Can you clean and maintain our lantern regularly?
Yes. Planned maintenance visits cover cleaning, clearing gutters, checking seals and testing vents, and can be booked for your quieter times.
